Jeffrey Fromknecht

Managing Attorney & CEO

Jeff is a lawyer, author, and speaker who has a passion for helping others. He is the the co-founder and Managing Attorney of Side Project Inc. Jeff is licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and Florida and splits his time between Pittsburgh, PA, and Boynton Beach, FL. His legal work focuses on the transactional and compliance legal issues impacting tax-exempt organizations and their work. He holds graduate degrees in both social work and law and has over 12 years of experience working at nonprofit organizations in a variety of direct-service and administrative roles. He earned his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work, where his concentration was on community organizing, nonprofit administration, and disability studies. He attended Duquesne University School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During law school, Jeff worked as a community partner at Community Living and Support Services (CLASS) in Pittsburgh, where he developed and evaluated programs designed to help people with disabilities build social capital. View Jeff’s resume

David Brown

Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer

Dave has 8 years of accounting experience at nonprofit and educational organizations. Dave has a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Master’s degree in business administration. View Dave’s resume. 

Adam Causgrove

Director of Community Outreach

Adam is an active member of several Pittsburgh community groups, and recently spearheaded the creation of a community dog park. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, earning a Bachelor’s degree in marketing. Adam has spent the past five years managing all aspects of over 500 publicly and privately funded research-based grants, as well as engaging in a variety of grassroot fundraising efforts to benefit local nonprofit organizations. Nicole Dimario

Chief Communications Officer

Nicole is a freelance copy editor and a former editor and writer for Pittsburgh Magazine. As the assistant editor, she oversaw the magazine’s Arts & Leisure department. She recently received her Master of Education degree from Carlow University and is currently teaching English in Loudoun County School District in Virginia.

Andrew Miskowiec

Director of Development & Marketing

Andrew serves in a variety of roles at Side Project. He is one of the co-chairs of the Tail-GREAT event and has been helping out with the event for over 5 years. He spends his nights bartending. When Andrew isn’t working behind the bar, he enjoys rooting on the Pittsburgh Pirates, bearding, and writing cultural and critical analysis. Andrew is a regular contributor to the film discussion blog “Ben Really Rick What” (www.benreallyrickwhat.com) and is the Stacheretary for the Steel City Beard & Mustache Club (www.steelcitybeards.com). He received a Bachelor’s degree in film studies from the University of Pittsburgh.

Theodore Casey

Action & Advisory Committee

Theodore is an attorney in Pottsville, PA.  He graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in agronomy and he maintains a strong passion for nature.  In 2012, he graduated from Duquesne University School of Law and has clerked for multiple judges in Pennsylvania’s trial court system.  He is a member of the Side Project Inc. Action & Advisory Committee assisting with nonprofit legal issues.



Nathan Bish

Board of Directors

Nathan is a member of Side Project’s Action & Advisory Committee. He advises on human resources and financial related matters, as well as conducting research. Nate has over 10 years of HR experience in the Fortune 500 sector, including a wealth of experience in Total Rewards. He earned both a Master’s in Business Administration and Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. Nate spends his free time enjoying family and friends, traveling as much as possible and is an avid sports enthusiast. View Nathan’s resume

Stephen M. Fetzner

Board of Directors

Steve is a member of the Side Project Action & Advisory Committee helping out with projects in the Western Pennsylvania area. Mr. Fetzner is a full-time litigator at the Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett, P.C law firm in Erie, Pa. He focuses his practice on the legal defense of commercial enterprises and insurance companies.  He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Syracuse University. Prior to law school, Mr. Fetzner worked in the broadcasting industry.  He was a production assistant for Associated Television International in Los Angeles and served as technical director and camera operator for newscasts at two local network affiliates.  Mr. Fetzner also interned at the Erie County Courthouse.

Dan Fromknecht

Board of Directors

Dan is a member of the Board of Directors of Side Project Inc. and serves as its Social Media Advisor. He is studying sports and exercise science and business at Gannon University and works as a Physical Therapist Technician at Hertle and Brown Physical and Aquatic Therapy.

Chelsea Causgrove

Action & Advisory Committee

Chelsea Causgrove is a member of the Action & Advisory Committee, providing administrative and development assistance on a number of Side Project events. Chelsea has a B.S. in Environmental Science and currently works as a research support staff member at the McGowan Institute of Regenerative Medicine Center for Preclinical Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. In her free time, Chelsea enjoys spending time and traveling with her husband Adam and their pets.

Troy Crumrine

Action & Advisory Committee

Troy is an attorney who lives in rural Pennsylvania. He graduated from Juniata College with honors and a Bachelors in History in 2008 and from Duquesne Law School in 2012. He was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome in elementary school his volunteer work at Side Project is focused on supporting programs and projects that provide services for kids and adults with autism. Joe Dopirak

Action & Advisory Committee

Joe Dopirak is a member of the Side Project Action & Advisory committee contributing to fundraising events in Western Pennsylvania. He has 8 years technology-focused business development experience with specific skills in customer focus, data analysis, project management and creating marketing materials. Joe has worked specifically with small business development in the Pittsburgh area since his college experiences at the University of Pittsburgh and provides grassroots marketing support and start-up level marketing advice to the organization. In his time aside from work Joe enjoys his Pirates season tickets, going to yoga with Adam Causgrove and lots of zombie themed video games.

Eric Feld

Action & Advisory Committee

Eric Feld was born and raised in Hollywood, FL and currently lives with his wife and daughter in Boca Raton. He graduated with an accounting degree from Florida State University in 2008 and received his CPA license shortly after. He has approximately 7 years of experience in public accounting and currently specializes in auditing, accounting and tax services for nonprofit organizations.

Bradley Gies

Action & Advisory Committee

Bradley Gies was born in West Palm Beach and raised in Loxahatchee, Florida. In 2004 Brad enrolled at the University of Florida where he studied Advertising, Business Administration, and Classics. At the University of Florida he played division I rugby and graduated with honors. He attended law school at the University of Florida, Levin College of Law. After Graduating from law school, Brad accepted a position at Graphic Security Systems Corporation (GSSC) as the General Counsel and Director of Intellectual Property. At GSSC, his responsibilities included negotiating and drafting various contracts with numerous multi-national corporations and government agencies; as well as advising the board of directors on a myriad of legal issues. In 2013, Brad “hung up his shingle” and founded Bradley Gies P.A.

Brandon Keller

Action & Advisory Committee

Brandon works with nonprofits in the Pittsburgh area by researching grant opportunities and writing grant proposals. An attorney living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Brandon has worked for several nonprofit organizations. He was a Development Administrator for Neighborhood Legal Services, Assn. in Pittsburgh, where he secured funding for several programs. Brandon currently works at Allegheny County Office of the Public Defender. 

Sara Kelly

Action & Advisory Committee

Sara is a dedicated member of the Side Project Action & Advisory Committee, she provides support and guidance to projects in Pittsburgh and Erie, Pennsylvania. Sara has over 10 years experience writing, editing, and marketing.  She has been an advocate and volunteer for children’s tutoring and literacy programs in both the Pittsburgh and Denver areas.  She is a graduate of Colorado State University with a B.A. in English and was the literary editor of the university’s Hungry Eye Magazine. Sara is a K-Plus kindergarten teacher in Upper Saint Clair School District in Pittsburgh and is completing her Master of Education degree at Carlow University. During her free time Sara likes to take Pure Barre classes, walk around Highland Park with her beagle Hunter, cheer on Pittsburgh sports teams, and read mediocre teen fiction on her kindle.

Katie Morrow

Action & Advisory Committee

Katie is a member of the Side Project Action & Advisory Committee where she assists with projects in the Western Pennsylvania area.  Katie is currently an Associate with Welch, Gold, Siegel & Fiffik, P.C., a law firm in downtown Pittsburgh and is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.  Katie’s practice focuses on business and corporate law as well as civil litigation and real estate law.  Katie received her Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University where she received a concentration in Real Property Law and a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Politics and Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh. Angel Pappalardo

Action & Advisory Committee

Angel is a Pittsburgh native and member of Side Project’s Action & Advisory Committee. She has a BA from the College of Wooster and a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration on nonprofit management from the University of Pittsburgh. She has more than six years of experience in research administration, grant writing and program management and currently manages a clinical research program at the University of Pittsburgh. In her spare time, Angel enjoys yoga, cooking and boxed wine. View Angel’s resume. 

Pamela Tatti

Action & Advisory Committee

Pamela is a member of Side Project’s South Florida Action & Advisory Committee. She helps with development, marketing, and graphic design. Pamela has worked as a freelance designer as well as an assistant designer for handbag, outerwear and swimwear companies. She attended the Fashion Institute of Technology and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Design. 

Peter Waldinger

Action & Advisory Committee

Pete is a member of the Side Project Action and Advisory Committee. Pete has spent his career in the logistics industry and is currently a Senior Transportation Sourcing Specialist at Penske Logistics. Using his knowledge of small business management, Pete helps with any business related needs for Side Project, as well as website design and whatever else is needed of him. Pete lives in Cleveland with his wife and two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys fixing things around the house, building things out of wood and chasing his daughters around.View Pete’s resume

Brett Wiler

Action & Advisory Committee

Brett is a member of the Side Project Action & Advisory Committee helping out with projects in the Erie, Pennsylvania area. He currently resides in Erie and works as an Account Executive at the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from John Carroll University, and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Gannon University.  Brett is a member of the Young Erie Professionals and is a participant in several Industry Partnership meetings throughout Erie County.  Brett enjoys golf, fishing, and tries to remain an eternal optimist despite being a Cleveland sports fan. Stephen Zoni

Action & Advisory Committee

Stephen is a member of the Side Project Inc. Action & Advisory Committee helping out with fundraising and development efforts for the Erie Tail-GREAT. He studied Supply Chain & Information Systems at The Pennsylvania State University and works as a Lead Buyer at Industrial Sales & Mfg. Steve lives in Erie, Pennsylvania and enjoys playing bocce and golf.

Henry Norwood

Law Clerk

Henry Norwood is a law clerk with Side Project Inc. Nonprofit Legal Services Division. Henry grew up in Readfield, Maine before moving to Davie, Florida in August of 2014. He recently finished his first year of law school at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center. In addition to his work with Side Project, he works as a research assistant for two professors at the Shepard Broad Law Center and his interests include: real estate law, contracts, corporate law, and intellectual property law. When not studying, Henry enjoys hiking, kayaking, biking, and spending time with his wife.
